Niall Bass

Niall is a Senior Associate Solicitor in OBL’s Insurance Law and Defence Litigation department. Niall joined OBL in May 2023.

He advises Irish and international insurance companies in the area of Defence Insurance litigation.

Niall advises on the defence a large number of matters for major international and national insurers and loss adjusters, ranging from personal injuries litigation, subrogation matters and general insurance litigation and dispute resolution, ranging across professional indemnity, product liability, property damage and material damage claims, from District and Circuit Court through to High Court and Court of Appeal.

He has extensive experience in the area of Defence Personal Injuries and defamation litigation, acting on behalf of a number of major national and international companies and insurers, to include self-insured entities, together with commercial disputes, debt collection and enforcement for lending institutions, trespass claims and right of way claims.
