Jody Toner

Jody is a partner in our Banking and Property Teams.

 Prior to joining OBL, Jody has previously been Head of Legal for the NAMA Unit of a large financial institution and Of Counsel in the Real Estate Group of an international law firm.

 Jody has extensive experience advising international private equity funds, multinationals, lending institutions (traditional and alternative), developers, corporates, and private clients across the full range of banking and commercial property transactions, with a particular focus on real estate and development finance.

Jody’s experience extends to:

1. acting for secured lenders on real estate development projects and construction finance
2. acquisition and disposal of loan & asset portfolios
3. acquisition, management and disposal of all commercial property classes including retail, office, industrial, logistics, hotel, student accommodation and residential development sites
4. negotiation of commercial leases for both landlords and tenants

In addition, Jody has particular experience advising institutional clients on distressed loan situations and the enforcement of security, including the provision of advices on receivership and liquidation and general insolvency related matters.
